Exasperated Smiles
This is a picture of one of my best friends, Faith. I've known Faith since I was five years old, when we met in kindergarten. From then on, we both grew up in the same tiny one-class-per-grade private school: so we've always been very close, along with our thirteen other classmates. These are friendships we'll all have forever. We are two of the six people from our little class that goes to Skyline, and we're lucky enough to have classes together. This picture was taken in our history class. Originally, I had been taking pictures of her as a joke, but some of the pictures and expressions she had turned out to be great photos. The lighting was really nice and natural(because we sit by windows in the classroom), and she looked super pretty in it. This picture was a more in the moment decision, so I couldn't really stage the scene, but I think with some light editing, it turned out okay. In this photo, theres some informal balance because of the way she's tilting her head, which draws your eye to he face, particularly her smile. There's also selective focus, which blurs out some of the background, especially the more hectic parts. This makes it easier to focus on Faith and not what's happening behind her.
